Reflux

We built our cities on the coast
of this giant bowl
taking full advantage
of the forgiving qualities of water

Next to an abyss as deep as our confusion,
we did our business
Thinking the magic toilet had eaten
Our invommitable sins

But the whirlpool was reversible
The flush took its revenge
An exponential excremential
soon turned into a hurricane
bringing us face to face
for the very first time
With the unbearable lightness of sin
