Glow

Tonight the sea has finally decided to listen:
It has invited the stars over,
to watch them dance,
and entertain the seagulls.

The moon has staged its own performance:
With the sea’s permission,
It has laid down a glittering carpet,
as an added party feature.

As the guests begin to depart one by one,
the moon shines brighter than ever.
The seagulls fall asleep in the shimmer,
as waves tiptoe in the dark.
