only to become reflected. Deflected. Rejected.
Light, is a refugee: adaptable. Fearless. Inventive.
Having fled the war inside the helium core in a hurry,
all it could quickly grab was its warmth.
Unphased by the long journey ahead, it persists,
eventually falling into the arms of a leaf. An empty street. A smile.
