Showtime

It was the biggest show on Earth

as billions around the world gathered around their TVs

eager to watch

as ancient icebergs slid into the ocean in real time

koalas held on to trees in crystal clear resolution

as they burned alive

and commercials

so many commercials

so many products to choose from

all those extremely helpful gadgets

the video editors and graphic artists had a bonanza

making the icebergs look so blue

making the fires look so hot

they used Photoshop and many different filters

to bring everything to life

just as life on the planet was coming to an end

But the people changed the channel

There were just so many good deals

on the shopping network

everything went on sale

it was the closing down sale

of the planet

  1. Typical arrogant attitude of humans: if it doesn’t effect me, I don’t need to worry about it. Sad part is, everything on this planet effects all of us. Good piece. Good commentary.
