A utopian hallucination. The illusion that the many can be represented by the few. The betrayal of freedom of speech by share of voice. The use of weapons of mass consumption to placate, sedate and distract from the truth. Democracy is a plane that never flew. It stayed fixed, outlined in pencil and paper and pinned on the wall for admiration. Democracy is pretty. It is colourful. Until you get up close and smell it.
