Pulling together some of my writing from the past few months, Frankenpolitics looks deep under the hood of our malfunctioning civilisation. While Beyond The Petri Dish focused more on the important cognitive dimensions of our in-built self-destructiveness, Frankenpolitics points fingers, and all fingers point to global capital: the entity responsible for bringing to completion the ongoing climate and ecological catastrophe in a dystopic society mesmerised by a circus of sponsored politics, zombified by consumatronic addictions, and addicted to delusion as its only way of dealing with the truth it doesn’t want to face.
Frankenpolitics is a book about failed activism, because it is important to know why we failed, and why we are still failing. I dare to explore visions of revolt, however utopian they might be. We are a species known to revolt all the time, although we always do it too late and very often for the wrong reasons. Is a revolution to save this planet something that is even possible within the realm of an existence wholly owned by capital?
This, and many more questions about activism, failed politics and our failed civilisation are explored. I hope you find it insightful. As always, reviews are welcome.
