The Extinction Tariff

The economic war between US and Canada, Mexico or China is only the fine script in the much wider economic war taking place between a bankrupt humanity on one hand, and an equally bankrupt Earth on the other.  The real war of tariffs is taking place between two much less known economies: the human Ponzi scheme, and Earth’s economy.

The relationship between these two economies is as unequal as it can be: Earth is an export-led economy, providing humans with everything they need and importing nothing other than the waste of civilisation.  The human economy on the other hand is almost 100% import-led, relying on Earth for all its needs.  The two economies are in a parasitic relationship whereby humans deceptively appear to have the upper hand:  importing goods at virtually zero cost and exporting waste at negligible cost as well.

But the tariffs are already here, and Earth has the upper hand now.  Our planet’s climate is beginning to impose an endless list of tariffs on our biggest exports: pollution, destruction, and extinction.  The climate crisis is bringing the human economy to its knees: food production collapse, infrastructural collapse, insurance industry collapse, cost of living, migration out of uninhabitable zones, social collapse, mental health collapse.  These tariffs are imposed on everyone, whether you’re American, Chinese or Eskimo.

Humanity of course cannot impose counter-tariffs, when it is a parasitic entity.  Parasites don’t impose tariffs.  They only suffer from them.  The ultimate tariff in this economic war will be our own extinction.

  1. Yes, the rogue vampire of humanity sucks the life out of the planet and yet thirsts for ever more. Yet They talk of “Sustainable Development,” one of the new oxymorons. BTW, nobody says “Eskimo” anymore, always “Inuit” now.
