Anthropocene University – Spring Registration for Classes Now Open

Educational institutions the world over are keeping up pretences, trying to lure students with the false promise of a career which won’t exist on a collapsing planet.  Academia after all, is no different than Business as Usual.  Since education became a business, universities are only interested in taking your cash.  Students graduate with a mountain of debt and earn degrees for professions that are becoming obsolete in the age of AI, social, ecological and economic collapse, fascism and climate breakdown.

At Anthropocene University, we got you covered.  All our coursework has been tailored to today’s demanding new world, and the challenges that the young generation is being asked to face.  Our children may have their work cut out for them, but with a curriculum as rich and multifaceted as ours, they’ve got nothing to fear.  All our diplomas are a sound investment into the uncertain future our kids face.  So, without further ado, we are proud to present to you this year’s List of New Courses from across our academic departments.  Registration is open to all.  On behalf of our Dean of Students and faculty, have a great Spring 2032 semester!

(3 cr.) 78579 Principles of Extinction Ecology

In this foundational course which counts towards both a History and an Extinction Ecology degree, students will learn how ecosystems collapse by examining real case studies from across the globe.  The process of global extinction which led to the Great Collapse will be mapped out, and prevailing models and simulations on systemic collapse of biodiversity will be explored in depth, supplemented by a strong evidence base from recent historical events across the globe.  Please note: students who may require psychological support during their time on this course will have access to 3 free sessions with one of our AI-mediated virtual collapse councillors.

(3 cr.) 58697 Pre-Collapse Ecology

An immersive study of organisms and the “ecosystems” that they lived in before the collapse.  Among other items students will have the opportunity to learn what a tree was, and how it lived.  They will have the chance to explore beautiful 3D interactive models of plants and animals that were still alive until only just a few years ago.  The decisive role of humans as parasitic predators in the Great Collapse will be explored through an extensive case study database. Please note: students who may require psychological support during their time on this course will have access to 3 free sessions with one of our AI-mediated virtual collapse councillors.

(3 cr.) 95763 Necronomics 101

(Prerequisites: Critical Thinking 101, Pre-Collapse Biology 101) This course, which is compulsory for all our economics students, will concentrate on the basic elements of a typical “boom, bust and collapse” Anthropocene economy.  The various essential features of the necroeconomy will be explored in depth including Ponzi structures, ecological fraud, stakeholder corruption consumatronic programming and many more.

(3 cr.) 28746 Information Dystopias

(Prerequisite: Principles of AI) In a world where reality has become irrelevant and truth is a crime, this course explores how the media system of the pre-collapse era became the instrument for a global capitalist autocracy.  The crucial role which self-coding algorithms played in the run-up to the Great War will be explored in depth.  The course is part of our Media Freedom degree but open to all students.

(3 cr.) 76920 Frankenpolitics

In this ground-breaking new history and political science course, students will learn that democracy never existed.  The collusion between power, wealth and media which led to the Great Collapse will be extensively interrogated using examples from recent pre-collapse history.

(2 cr.) 28567 Cooking with Aloe

This brand-new, fun and exciting course, teaches 13 basic meals that students can prepare using the Aloe cactus, including:  Aloe soup, Aloe pasta with Aloe latex sauce, Aloe steak with black pepper, Aloe fries with nothing else, Aloe stir-fry and many more.  The course is an elective open to all students and part of our Sustenance and Survival series.  Please note: all meals prepared will be deducted from the subsidised on-campus student meal plan.

(8 cr.) 67934 Social Collapse and the Great War (2 semesters)

Following closely the stages via which global collapse unfolded, the course will pay less attention to historical detail in order to devote extra time for analysis.  Ideas from sociology, psychology, cognitive anthropology, evolutionary biology, necronomics and frankenpolitics will be compared and contrasted and thrown into the mix of a lively, and sometimes philosophical, debate.  Could collapse have been avoided?  The second half of the course will feature visits by prominent collapsitarians which students will have the opportunity to question and interact with.  Please note: students who may require psychological support during their time on this course will have access to 3 free sessions with one of our AI-mediated virtual collapse councillors.

(3 cr.) 67893 The Unhappiness Machine

Part of our award-winning Literature and Critical Thinking Series, this sophomore-level ecophilosophy course explores and debunks popular myths and narratives of the Civilisational Lie through selected essays of prominent authors in the field.

(3 cr.) 27877 The Great Sustainability Swindle

A core prerequisite towards both our Economics and Media Freedom degrees, this course uncovers the main ploys that Business as Usual utilized in the pre-collapse era in order to “get rich, keep calm, and overshoot”.  The course will explore the various fraudulent stereotypes and constructs of “sustainability” fabricated through the ages, and the corresponding media campaigns supporting them which led to the eventual collapse of the biosphere.  Please note: students who may require psychological support during their time on the course will have access to 3 free sessions on anger and grief management with one of our AI-mediated virtual collapse councillors.

(3 cr.) 17846 Natural Systems of Degrowth

From tulip bulbs to autumn senescence, tardigrades to black bears, and prehistoric bacteria to viruses, economics students with a concentration in bio-economics will gain a deep understanding of ancient systems of degrowth which have existed for millennia in the Gaia economy, taken from across the five biological kingdoms.  Minimalism, dormancy, hibernation, programmed cell death and many more natural processes of degrowth will be compared and contrasted against human necrocapitalism.

(4 cr.) 78895 Humans

This anthropology course open to all students aims to challenge mainstream perceptions of human history by shattering popular myths about human progress that were propagated through the ages by religion, power and capitalism.  The course will aim to conduct an alternative and brutally honest retrospective analysis of humanity’s main achievements, aiming to uncover and question various narratives of the Civilisational Lie which enabled the annihilation of the natural world.  False narratives of sentience, human supremacy, conflict with Earth and guardianship over the Creation are dissected and analysed, and the role that these played and still play in the Great Collapse is investigated.
