Don’t Eat The Rich! Abolish Them For Good

The world is being turned into a dystopia of extreme inequality by those determined to blackmail 8 billion humans into destitution. The collusion between power and wealth has new precision tools, an upgraded game plan, and a new vision for an oppressive society none of us will be able to opt out of. So far, they have abducted our attention and sunk us into sedation. But this time, they want our complete subordination.

Their plan is to redistrict every aspect of your existence, sell it for parts so they can watch it collapse into a slum, then charge you for every single toxic breath you take, every surveilled move you make. The global cleptocracy has all but explicitly advertised its vision for the near future, its titillating, salivating wet dream of domination by making Gaza its marketing demo for all future living. Don’t say you didn’t see this one coming. You’ve perused the brochure, attended the open house, and already put down a holding deposit. Their plan is to turn all of Earth into a Gaza strip where they exercise maximum control while making human rights optional at best, a practical impossibility most likely. As housing affordability becomes a joke, free cages will be provided by the government where we can all live and prosper as farm animals on strawberry-flavoured horse tranquillisers. Why go through all the trouble to occupy DC when you can put people in concentration camps and have AI do all the surveillance for you? As we wake up in temperature-controlled, mind-controlled chicken factories, we’ll reminisce about George Orwell’s Animal Farm not with horror, but nostalgia.

Think of all the profit. If it happened in Gaza or Alligator Alcatraz, it can happen anywhere. Smartphones are pocket-sized portable concentration camps already: you work for free just to train the AI lords, pay to be monitored by apps, and pray that your turn to be terminated because you criticized a genocide hasn’t come around just yet. So have a look around you while you still can, while the barbed-wire fence and 15-foot-tall walls are still virtual. If it feels like the necroeconomy is beginning to close in, it is because it is doing just that. You won’t feel the squeeze and the crush until it is too late. This is how traps work, except this one has the added feature of charging you for the bait you ingested.

Here is the bottom line: inequality is accelerating globally as the climate crisis decimates resources while the rich rob us of our income, assets, personal data, mental health and dignity. We are undergoing a transition from a society to an AI-operated supermarket where humans are the products, and AIs decide how they will be branded, what they will be worth, and how long they get to stay on the shelf. The survival of this supermarket has become more important than the survival of humanity. In this profit-dictated version of society, the only difference between consumers and consumables is temporal: all consumers eventually become consumables that are branded, sold, used, then terminated. Unsellable employees who fail to meet market parameters are marked as defective, priced down, or worse, exiled to a place where no one will look for them: the bargain bin of digital obscurity.

This demolition operation is moving fast, so please get out of the way. Corrupt tyrants and AI broligarchs are bulldozing their way through society as we speak, concentrating wealth at the expense of the people they’ve already been robbing for decades. They are endorsed by psychopaths and grown-up brats recruited from the negative outlier end of the IQ continuum: humanoids that like to gaze in the mirror, call themselves kings and self-nominate for the Nobel peace prize. Meanwhile Gen Z enters adulthood with a “why even bother” raison d’etre: riddled with debt and blocked from entry-level jobs by AI, all the while as they face down the barrel of a world of looming climate apocalypse, food insecurity and civilisational collapse galloping towards them in a not-so-distant future no one wants to be alive to witness. If they do manage to find work, they need to prepare themselves to settle for a life of no savings, no home ownership and employment terms so abysmal that, they will forever redefine the meaning of the word “employment”.

No thanks. I’d rather bring down the dictatorship than work for rich people to make them richer so they can fund future dictatorships and bow down to current ones. Fuck you. I quit.

But if we were to eat the rich, one thing is certain: more of them would spring up overnight. The reason why the world is ruled by psychopaths is that they arise spontaneously like proto life forms out of the primordial cesspool we call capitalist free market. They are the apex predators of most value to our supermarket version of society, drawing in maximum profit while adding negative social and ecological value. People who accuse these individuals often secretly adore them, mistaking their ruthlessness for intelligence. Meanwhile the rest of us are supposed to maintain our sanity as we watch these low-life Homo braincellus singularis commit genocides just to pocket a few extra billion dollars. Mental health has become a tight rope made from top-strength cognitive dissonance, propped up on either end by the towering ghost algorithms of the Unreality. Don’t be fooled into thinking it will hold for much longer. Try to stay in contact with the ground, however filthy it is.

So, the problem is not the rich, but the system that reproduces them. Inequality is not born out of evil but out of its result: accumulation. The only way to end inequality is to simply outlaw it. This will only happen if those of us at the lowest ranks of the inequality pyramid become warriors for justice rather than wishful billionaires, ballot prey and training fodder for hungry AI data centres.

There are learnings from nature, as well as a blueprint. In a natural ecosystem inequality does not exist within species because there is no such thing as money, or profit. In nature resources are shared and therefore impossible to accumulate under a single individual, yet humans have created societies of individualists where unlimited personal wealth can be accumulated, secured, and protected by law. The only way to end inequality is to demolish the structures and institutions that encourage and protect not only the accumulation of wealth, but ownership itself. We need to mimic nature in the way it eliminates parasitic individuals within a species: they simply don’t get to pass on their genes.

There are many ways to abolish the rich, and we have the power to do so if only we weren’t all so divided while we trample over each other as we try to get rich ourselves. Both the planet and human society can be saved if there were limits to growth and to wealth accumulation. We need to get to a place where this civilisation limits itself, where business expansion beyond a certain level becomes a loss-making enterprise for the businessman. As long as understanding the necessity of economicecological and population limits is a taboo conversation, humans are destined to become roadkill to their own profit locomotive. And as long as we allow an extreme minority of wealthy parasites to set the course for what happens to this species and this planet, we only have ourselves to blame for not even trying to overthrow and abolish them for good.

I leave you with some pictures from my 5-day summer break as a reminder of what we, you, are fighting for. I’ve been coming to this place for the past 37 years, over which period I’ve seen the sea level rise, trees get sick, and insects disappear. Nature is still here, but it is disappearing fast. We need to make those responsible disappear, before they disappear us into our cages.
