All wars, conflicts, genocides and ecocides have originated in supremacy. Our civilisation has never been able to root out prejudice, speciesism or discrimination because supremacy, of all shapes and sizes, is a formidable economic powerhouse.
Supremacy narratives facilitated the creation of false hierarchies which propped up power structures and enabled the worst of capitalism: black vs. white, poor vs rich, dumb vs. smart. Once these false hierarchies were put in place, they were exploited for economic gain: slavery, colonialism and extinction and enabled empires to grow through an endless cycle of exploitation and destruction. Supremacy narratives became the ideological bedrock behind the psychonomy and behind countless opportunists that continue to rise to power to this day, always with the promise that they represent those who should belong “at the top”. In other words, the typical fascist narrative.
All narratives of supremacy are created by exploiting differences: difference in skin colour, income, education, and so on. These differences are then arbitrarily assigned a value e.g. white is better than black, and a hierarchy is therefore created. But all hierarchies are arbitrary, artificial, and baseless, because nature never creates “higher” and “lesser” beings, or races. The ecosystem is a democracy, not a plutocratic theocracy.
Yet human civilisation has always strived to highlight differences rather than similarities, exactly because differences are monetizable. Religion, government and almost every social institution under the sun have always weaponised differences and created supremacy theories. And while we may have learned to recognize many types of supremacy within our civilisation, human supremacy against all other species is seldomly addressed. This is because this is the only area where all humans actually agree: we are simply “better” than all other beings.
As this civilisation becomes more globalised and homogenised, any differences between people are easily flagged, magnified and weaponised. We are at the greatest risk ever of a major new supremacy and fascism era dawning, as the information dystopia easily highlights, amplifies, weaponizes and exploits differences between people and between species. The prevailing power structures want us to continue to focus on what makes us different, rather than what brings us together. Only if we begin to accept differences between species and between humans can the violent narratives of conflict upon which today’s civilization was founded begin to dissolve.

Humanimals suffer from a tragic amnesia of identity and purpose. We are truly lost souls. We are zombies relentlessly, ignorantly and rapaciously acting out our cleverly created script of human supremacy. We have unfortunately enslaved nearly all of our kind to a suicidal monoculture hell bent on power and death. We are a death cult in disguise. Love Rick
