Everyone Is Queer Now

As the fascist US regime continues to violate one Federal Law after another, the LGBTQ community is unsurprisingly at the centre of the storm, and shy of undergoing Hitler-style active persecutions by the way things are progressing.  Everything LGBTQ is being demolished right now: from HIV research to gender-change passport documents.  There is a reason why LGBTQ communities have become the posterchild of Trump’s social holocaust:  we are a symbol of social evolution, and therefore the ones who should be punished first as a warning to any other group in society who dares to assert its right to exist. 

They have also picked the LGBTQ community because they think it is the most vulnerable.  Think again.  No one should ever underestimate us.  I didn’t work all my life to get out of the closet in order to go back into it.  I didn’t suffer discrimination in life and work all my life for nothing.  I didn’t reject the hetero-normative existence that was forced down my throat to give up now.  I am angry, and anger is a power like no other.    

If you’re not LGBTQ and you are still reading, keep reading as you might learn some new survival skills from an important social group that is not only fringe, but was born in the fringes of society and knows what it’s like over there.  Over time, the LGBTQ community has proudly accepted its place as a force of progress not only for queer people but for humanity as a whole.  But most of all, you should keep reading because you’re one of us now: you’re being rejected for who you are.  You are being passed for promotions at work.  You’re being treated as invisible.  You’re being told you don’t exist because you’re a Democrat.

You are queer now.  Welcome to my world.  Welcome to the fringe.

Societies have always leaned on their queer members to drag them out of their dictatorships, whether political or ideological: queer people are naturally non-conformist, non-conventional and non-affiliated.  We have been rejected and lived our lives in the dumpster section of social stereotypes so long that we turned it into a strength: it has made us naturally empathetic, open minded, but also subversive, suspicious, and determined.  You don’t want to fuck with us basically.

The reason why so many people feel increasingly threatened by the LGBTQ community is because they suddenly realised we exist in such great numbers, as well as in an infinite, mind-boggling range of variations from male all the way to female, intersex, non-binary, and more.  You won’t be able to keep up with all the new jargon, and THAT’S THE WHOLE POINT.  It doesn’t matter.  We’re here, we’re queer, and what we like to call ourselves is none of your business.  Most of all, we were always here, so the “we were here first” attitude needs to go. 

To the heteronormative patriarchy’s great disappointment, the LGBTQ community is not simply deviant.  We were born deviant, and we were brought into this world to break the rules: to challenge not only gender but identity itself, to challenge society as a whole and help it progress and improve.  You owe us.  Big time.  We made society more inclusive so that any technofeudalist asshole from South Africa can become an acting US President. 

So Elon, if you think you are coming for us, watch out.  Because we are coming for you, big time.  And we have more queers with us now.  And we will be your worst nightmare.
